Deep well applications require the pump to do more than simply move water. Sufficient discharge pressure is also necessary to lift groundwater to the surface and transport it through the connected pipeline.
For this project, the required head was 90 metres, with a rated capacity of 100 m³/h.
A 2205 duplex stainless steel deep well submersible pump was selected for the application.
The high-head hydraulic configuration allows the pump to provide the required pressure while maintaining a large water flow.
Because the pump operates inside the borehole, the motor and hydraulic section remain submerged during operation. Water is pushed upward rather than drawn from the surface, making the system suitable for deep groundwater extraction.
The use of 2205 stainless steel also improves the pump’s suitability for applications where corrosion resistance is an important consideration.
The completed pump was configured to provide a reliable high-head solution for the customer’s deep well water system.
