D/MD/DF series horizontal multistage centrifugal pump overview

D/MD/DF series is horizontal single stage multi suction barrel type centrifugal pump. They use the energy efficient hydraulic mode suggested by Chinese government, which is the latest technique. The advantages are high efficiency, wide performance, safety and steady operation, low noise, long life and convent for installation and maintenance.
It can pump clean water with neither solid particles(abrasive) nor suspended solid or other liquids with physical and chemical properties similar to water. You can also use it to pump hot water, oil, corrosive liquid or medium with abrasive by changing its material(or the material of the over flow part), sealing form and adding cooling system.

The horizontal multistage centrifugal pump falls into three types according to their application range:
D type: delivery of clean water lower than 80℃ and with no solid particles, or other liquids with physical and chemical properties similar to water. Suitable for water supply and drainage in mine, factory and urban area.
MD type: the MD series coal mines wear-resisting multistage pump is developed on the basis of the D type pump. It changes the flow passage components of D type pump into wear resistant material. It has advantages like wear resistant and long running life, etc. It is especially suitable for mine drainage, pumping well water containing no more than 1.5% solid particles and other liquids. The liquid temperature shall not be higher than 80℃.
DF type: pump -20 ℃~105℃ corrosive liquid with no solid particle. The pressure at the inlet of pump shall be lower than 0.6MPa. The client can choose appropriate pump material, pump seal type, pump structure and motor capacity according to the name, concentration, relative density, usage temperature of the liquid and the pressure at inlet of pump, etc.

D, MD, DF models are horizontal, single suction, barrel type multi stage centrifugal pumps. Its suction inlet is horizontal and discharge nozzle is vertical. The body parts of the pump, including water inlet section, middle section, outlet section and bearing body, are connected as a whole with draw-in bolt. You can decide the number of stages according to pump lift. The inlet and outlet direction of pump can be adjusted according to the need of client.

The rotor part of this series of pumps is mainly made up of the axle, the impeller on axle, axle sleeve, balance panel and other components. The quantity of impellers are decided by pump stages. The parts on axle are fixed with the nut by flat key. The rotor is supported by rolling bearing or sliding bearing at two ends. Different model has different bearing. All bearings do not accept thrust force. The thrust force is balanced by the balance panel. When the pump is at work, the rotor is allowed to move in axial direction inside the pump shell. Annular ball bearing is not accepted. The rolling bearings shall be lubricated by grease. The sliding bearings shall be lubricated by dilute oil and oil ring, and cooled with circular water. The sealing surface of water inlet section, middle section and water outlet section of the pump are all sealed with molybdenum disulphide grease. Sealing ring and diffusor sleeve are installed between the rotor and the fixed part for the sake of sealing. When the sealing ring and the diffusor sleeve are worn out enough to influence the function of the pump, please replace them with new ones.

There are two ways to seal the shaft or axle, mechanically seal and packing seal. D, MD and DF models of pumps are generally use packing seal, but mechanically seal is also possible. The packing ring must be put in the right position. The packing material shall be neither too tight or too loose, allowing the liquid to ooze drop by drop. All sealing elements of the pump are in the seal cage. Put some water into the cage for the sake of water sealing, cooling and lubricating. The shaft sleeve on the shaft seal can protect the shaft. This sleeve is replaceable. This series of pumps are driven by prime motor directly via elastic coupling. The pump rotate clockwise from the view of prime motor.
